Painted out of the box a little with an attempt to something more impressionistic. Young blond girl at the beach .... her attention towards the sea .... the sun high in the sky.
I could have made the girl bigger but then either had to be more impressionistic or more detailed. I didn't fancy any of those two options so .... In fact this creation could have been named 'solitaire' (or similars) as well since girl and bucket are really on their own.
Painted on a budget 12"12" square canvas and prepared with liquid white. In total eleven colours were used for this. Easiest part were the sea and the sand, hardest the girl.
And yes, I will add some shadow to the bucket tomorrow .... no worries!
Hope you like my little beach endeavour!
So glad you like it. Jenn would love it too, I am sure!
love the scene V..Great colors...Great vision on the lil girls face. She is looking at the horizon..Her thoughts..of the future..presently,no worries..no troubles..the ocean welcomes her innocents gently caressing her toes. The sand softly scratches the soles of her feet. The bliss of youth...I love this painting.Great job V..As always.Cheers.P
I am a very happy man Pietro, to know you love this!
it is right, I took attention to the girls' position near the water and her feet IN the sand.
So happy you spotted and loved this!!!
I love Pietro’s stories for paintings! I should get better about saying what I actually see and like about a painting instead of just, “ohhh I like this one!” Haha.
Heather .... the whole world is open to us to learn ... and love!!
Very pretty scene... you’ve nicely created the girl, bucket and sea and foam! It looks like the FL gulf. 🌊
Yes indeed FVG! It's been 24 years since I was in Florida so can't remember the water anymore. The sun would be in the wrong spot though!
So happy you like my girl and the way she was portraited! I might do another like this .... if I wasn't out of budget canvasses, and the stores are still in lockdown here!
Till next one!

Very nice! Reminds me of my sister when she was little with her mop of curly hair making sandcastles at the beach.
